enuchat - frequently asked questions

Where does the AI get its answers - the internet or my knowledge base?

Exclusively from your knowledge base. You upload documents (FAQs, policies, product descriptions) and the AI uses semantic search to find the right passage and phrase an answer. It does not hallucinate or search the open web. If the base has no answer it escalates the conversation to an operator.

Is the translation accurate? What about industry terms?

Translation uses modern LLMs - quality for the 60+ supported languages is close to a human translator. For industry terms (product names, your domain vocabulary) you can add a custom glossary in the knowledge base - the AI uses it as a priority source.

What format should I upload my knowledge base in?

PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, exports from popular support tools (Notion, Confluence, Help Scout) or direct URLs to your documentation. Update a document - the AI re-indexes automatically, no manual re-upload required.

Is customer data secure / GDPR-compliant?

Yes. enuchat is GDPR-compliant - conversation data is encrypted, retention is configurable, export and erasure satisfy GDPR Art. 15 and 17. Hosting in the EEA. We do not share data with third parties. Specific processors are listed in the enuchat.com privacy policy.

Can the AI take actions on my behalf (e.g. issue refunds)?

By default the AI answers in an informational capacity only. Actions that affect data (refunds, cancellations, booking changes) can be configured via the IF/THEN rules engine and API connections - you decide exactly what the AI is authorised to do and what it must escalate to an operator.

Will the widget slow my site down?

No. The widget loads asynchronously after First Contentful Paint - it does not block rendering or Core Web Vitals. Script size is under 50 KB gzipped, with lazy-loaded resources.
