Frequently asked questions

Common questions from clients - GDPR, custom software development, enumenu.com, enuchat.com and working with Kiran.

Section 1

GDPR and personal data protection

Does my company need to be GDPR compliant?

Yes. GDPR applies to every organisation that processes the personal data of natural persons - regardless of size, legal form or industry. That includes customer, employee and supplier data.

What are the penalties for non-compliance?

Administrative fines can reach up to €20 million or 4% of annual turnover - whichever is higher. The lower tier of sanctions is €10 million or 2% of turnover.

How long does a GDPR rollout take?

Typically 4-8 weeks depending on company size and the number of processing activities. The project covers audit, recommendations, rollout and a final re-audit.

Does every company need a Data Protection Officer (DPO)?

No. Designating a DPO is mandatory only for entities listed in Art. 37 GDPR (e.g. public authorities, organisations performing large-scale systematic monitoring). For most B2B companies a DPO is optional but recommended where processing is complex.

What do we get after a Kiran GDPR implementation?

A full documentation pack (policies, records, notices, processing agreements), implemented technical and organisational procedures, a re-audit report confirming compliance and access to ongoing support.

Do you serve clients across Poland?

Yes. Legal audits and rollouts can be delivered remotely. On-site visits are available in Warsaw, Pruszków and the wider Mazowieckie region - and across Poland on request.

Section 2

Custom software development

How does development pricing work?

After a short free scoping workshop we deliver a ballpark range within 2-3 business days. The exact quote follows once you approve the scope document - we bill either fixed-price per phase or time & material.

How long does a typical MVP take?

A minimum viable product ready for first users: typically 8-14 weeks from contract signing. We ship the first working screens in sprint 1 (two weeks).

Who owns the code at the end of the project?

You do — 100%. Once you sign final acceptance we hand over full repository access, technical documentation and (if you want it) a complete deployment on your own infrastructure.

What technologies do you use?

Vue 3 / Nuxt 4 / TypeScript on the front-end, PHP 8 / Symfony or Node.js on the back-end, MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis, Mercure (SSE) for real-time. Docker for deployment. The stack runs our own production products (enumenu.com, enuchat.com).

Do you provide post-launch maintenance?

Yes. After production launch we offer simple maintenance contracts (monthly retainer or hourly) - monitoring, security updates, small fixes and priority tickets.

Section 3

enumenu.com and enuchat.com apps

What is enumenu.com?

enumenu.com is a complete QR-based restaurant service platform: call waiter, request bill, digital menu, at-table ordering, takeaway with delivery and online payments. Rolled out in 24 hours, free plan for 1 table.

What is enuchat.com?

enuchat.com is an AI chat widget with automatic translation across 60+ languages and Claude-powered answers from your knowledge base. One-line JavaScript install, free plan with no credit card.

Do these apps require IT knowledge to deploy?

No. enumenu - a photo of the current menu or a PDF is enough; we do the rest. enuchat - one JavaScript snippet on your site. All configuration happens in the browser, in the admin panel.

Can I integrate enumenu with enuchat?

Yes. They are one Kiran ecosystem - restaurants running enumenu receive guest questions directly inside the enuchat inbox, with automatic translation.

Where can I find the pricing for these apps?

Current enumenu pricing is on enumenu.com, and enuchat pricing is on enuchat.com. Both apps have free plans, so it's worth testing them in real conditions first.

Section 4

Working with Kiran

Is the initial consultation paid?

No. The first call (remote or in Pruszków) is always free. After it you get a concrete proposal for next steps, and if you decide to engage - paperwork follows within 1-2 days.

What hours is support available?

Customer support and ongoing advisory: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 Polish time. Tickets received outside hours via email (info@kiran.pl) are answered on the next business day.

Do we sign an NDA before the scoping workshop?

Yes, if you want one. By default we offer our own short NDA, but we also accept client templates. NDA exchange usually takes 1-2 days.

What if our organisation has no budget for a full rollout?

We work regularly with micro and small businesses - we offer a phased approach: start with the most pressing element (e.g. just the records of processing, or just an MVP of one flow), and continue when budget allows. The first consultation is always free, with no sales pressure.

Do you work with English-speaking clients?

Yes. Consultations and documentation are available in Polish and English. We work with EU and UK clients deploying applications across European markets.
